Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Shelach — Mevarchim Chodesh Tammuz, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle lighting, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chassanim.
- The chassan Yechezkel Yoel, the bochur, son of Chaim Hersh Sofer.
- The chassan Yoel, the bochur, son of Alexander Nochum Gottlieb.
- The chassan Yonah, the bochur, son of Moshe Yechiel Mordechai Aron.

Around 9:00 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Aharon Neulander (Yerushalayim). They finished around 10:40. An appeal was made on behalf of the "Rinuel" organization. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

Around 11:25 the Rebbe entered the holy table in the Heichal HaMesivta together with the talmidim of the yeshiva, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
- Eishes Chayil: the grandson of the Rebbe, the bochur Yissachar Ber Taub, son of the son-in-law of the Rav of the beis medrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a.
- Raising the cup: the grandson of the Rebbe, Rabbi Meir Yehuda Ashkenazi shlit"a, son-in-law of the Rav of the beis medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.
- Kol Mekadesh: the grandson of the Rebbe, Rabbi Dovid Teitelbaum shlit"a (Boro Park), son of the Rav of the beis medrash Yisroel Shalom shlit"a.
- Menucha V'Simcha: R' Aharon Pollak (Yerushalayim).

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "And you shall be strong and take of the fruit of the land," and explained it in the manner of derush on the topic of "Hashem combines a good thought with the deed."

Around 7:40 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Pirkei Avos. The Rebbe stood on Perek 3, Mishnah 17, "Rabbi Elazar ben Azarya says: If there is no Torah, there is no derech eretz; if there is no derech eretz, there is no Torah." The Rebbe explained it in 12 ways in the manner of derush and aggadah, and then continued with words of mussar. Among other things, he spoke out about the devastation of AI and called on everyone to do what can be done for now by blocking AI numbers on home phones and cellphones. He likewise spoke out about the problems that arise in workplaces regarding the halachos of yichud and closeness between men and women, and strengthened the "Machon Avodah K'Halacha," which visits offices and works to ensure that everything is conducted properly in all matters. He also noted that these days are days of joy in our holy kehilla, as thousands of learners of the Chavuras Toras'cha Sha'ashuai are finishing Maseches Shabbos and beginning Maseches Eruvin. He concluded with words of blessing for the upcoming summer days, wishing that everyone should have protection in both spiritual and physical matters. They finished around 8:30 and the Rebbe went into his private room.

The Rebbe entered for Mincha around 9:00.

At Shalosh Seudos the Rebbe honored the singing of zemiros.

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "And you shall be strong and take of the fruit of the land," and explained that in earlier generations, fasts and self-afflictions were needed in order to do teshuva, but in our times, in such a weak generation, Hashem demands of us no more than a minimal teshuva, merely regret over the past and a good resolution for the future. He spoke at length about the importance of every small act of a Jew, every chapter of Tehillim, every good resolution, every sincere tefillah, and so on, which give Hashem great nachas, and one should not take them lightly.

The Rebbe recited the blessing over the cup.

After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a good week, and they escorted the Rebbe shlit"a with "Ki Malachav" on the occasion of his departure on Monday to Montreal for a short holy visit among our kehilla and holy mosdos.
They finished around 11:15.

Around 12:15, HaRav R' Yoel Yitzchak Stern shlit"a, dayan of the Dinov beis medrash in Kiryas Joel and one of the rabbonim of the hechsher at the Bakery, entered the Rebbe's room together with R' Yoel Shlomo Zaldan, manager of the Kiryas Joel Bakery, and delivered a report on the splendid wheat harvest that took place last week in Yuma, Arizona, where, baruch Hashem, thousands of pounds of wheat were harvested for use by the bakeries of our holy kehilla in Kiryas Joel and in Williamsburg. The Rebbe spoke with them at length about all the details and expressed great nachas from the successful and hiddur-filled harvest.

Also entering the Rebbe's room were talmidim of Mesivta Tiferes Shaul of Lakewood, under the leadership of HaRav R' Azriel Rokansky shlit"a, after spending Shabbos in Kiryas Joel HaMeurachav. A pleasant conversation developed with the rosh yeshiva shlit"a about the history of the yeshiva, and afterward all the bochurim went over to receive a blessing, and the Rebbe gave his sefer Lev Aharon to the rosh yeshiva shlit"a.

Afterward, the writing of letters took place for the Sefer Torah that is being written by R' Yisroel Perl and was brought in on Sunday to the Beis Medrash HaGadol. The Rebbe wrote in several letters, drank a lechayim, and extended of his holy blessing to R' Yisroel and his whole family.
