Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Korach, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the grooms.

At around 9:00 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaRav R' Shalom Yitzchak Scheer. They finished at around 10:30. After davening, an appeal was held for Kollel Mi'Tziyon V'Yoel Moshe in Yerushalayim, the holy city. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his residence.

At around 11:20 the Rebbe came to the holy table in the Heichal HaMesivta together with the talmidei hayeshiva, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.

The Rebbe said Torah on the Midrash "Because Korach took the spoils of the sea, therefore the earth swallowed him," and explained it in a homiletic manner in the sugya of ta'am k'ikar.

At around 1:00 the Rebbe went to pay a return visit to HaGaon HaGadol Rabbi Shimon Yitzchak Schlesinger shlit"a, who was staying at the home of the distinguished askan R' Yoshe Mordechai Schlesinger of Boro Park, in his home in the Kedushas Levi neighborhood in Kiryas Joel HaMurchevet. A pleasant conversation unfolded about halacha and about the customs of weddings and Sheva Brachos. He honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him a blessing from his holy lips, and wished the host, the distinguished R' Yoshe Mordechai, mazel tov on the marriage of his son, to the chassan ny"v, to the grandfather R' Nosson Grunfeld, and to the entire family. A pleasant conversation also took place in praise of the neighborhood and about our beis medrash in the Kedushas Levi neighborhood.
They finished at around 1:30, and HaGaon HaGadol Rabbi Shimon Yitzchak shlit"a accompanied the Rebbe shlit"a to the car.
