Parshas Devarim — "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a at the vacation location in Bethlehem, New Hampshire


=Sunday=

During the week, HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Melitz shlit"a, stayed in the holy presence.

Around 8:30 the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in our beis medrash Machzikei HaDas Kahal Yireim in Bethlehem. After davening, all the Shabbos guests went over to take their leave.

The Rebbe shlit"a also reviewed the list of the recent chasanim of the past while in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Shiur Daled.

On the way home from the beis medrash, a lovely conversation took place about the minhag of the Rebbe zy"a not to say Tachanun when one is not at home, and about the journey of the Shinover Rebbe zy"a to Eretz Yisroel in the year 5624.

=Monday=

Around 8:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in our beis medrash Machzikei HaDas Kahal Yireim in Bethlehem. Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Avrohom Shmuel Friedlander of Kiryas Joel.

After davening, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur. The Rebbe shlit"a wished him a blessing of holiness, and a lovely conversation took place about the bar mitzvah being called up as maftir and about further minhagim of a bar mitzvah. The Rebbe shlit"a also related stories and accounts of our holy Rebbes.

"Those who hope in Hashem shall renew their strength; they shall soar on wings like eagles." In the morning hours the Rebbe shlit"a went for his usual walk in Neos Desheh, where wonderful conversations were held about Torah and Chassidus, holy customs, stories of tzaddikim, and current matters, a walk that was "like cold water to a weary soul" and that will remain etched in the memory of the participants. Among the topics the Rebbe shlit"a discussed was the subject of sunset in places located on mountains, such as New Hampshire, Palm Springs, Kiryas Joel and Yerushalayim, and what difference this makes regarding the times. They also discussed the decrees upon Klal Yisroel throughout the generations, the decrees of 5408 and 5409 (Tach v'Tat), the Crusades and their attacks on the Jewish settlements, the decrees regarding clothing in Russia, and the battle that the gedolei Yisroel waged against them.
After the walk, several guests from Shabbos went over to take their leave.

On the way home after Maariv in the beis medrash, a lovely conversation took place about the hashgacha and kashrus of the mikvah in Bethlehem, New Hampshire.


=Tuesday=

Around 8:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in our beis medrash Machzikei HaDas Kahal Yireim in Bethlehem.

At night before Maariv the Rebbe lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of the holy Arizal zy"a.

On the way home the Rebbe shlit"a related the life story of the holy Arizal zy"a.


=Wednesday=

Around 8:35 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in our beis medrash Machzikei HaDas Kahal Yireim in Bethlehem. Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of the holy Arizal zy"a.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place at which the Rebbe shlit"a told longer accounts and stories about the Baal HaHilula zy"a, particularly about the graves that the holy Arizal revealed.

In the morning hours around 11:30 the Rebbe went for a walk in Neos Desheh, where wonderful conversations were held about Torah and Chassidus, holy customs, stories of tzaddikim, and current matters. Among other topics, they spoke for a longer time about "niggunim" in the old country, about niggunim that were redeemed from the nations by the tzaddikim, and about the nusach of davening among the tzaddikim of the houses of Ropshitz, Blazhov, Sanz and Dinov. The Rebbe shlit"a also related the tunes that the Divrei Yoel zy"a would sing on various occasions, particularly the niggun "Adir Hu Yivneh Beiso B'karov" at the Pesach Seder, which was among the most uplifting moments of the Seder.


=Thursday=

Around 8:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in our beis medrash Machzikei HaDas Kahal Yireim in Bethlehem.

In the morning hours around 11:15 the Rebbe went for a walk in Neos Desheh, where wonderful conversations were held about Torah and Chassidus, holy customs, stories of tzaddikim, and current matters. Among other topics, they discussed various customs regarding singing during davening, and accounts and stories of earlier tzaddikim regarding chuppah and kiddushin.

After Maariv, several guests who came to experience the uplifting Shabbos in the holy presence in New Hampshire took their leave.

On the way home they discussed, among other things, the halachos of Erev Tisha B'Av that falls on Shabbos.
=Friday, Erev Shabbos Kodesh=

Around 8:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in the beis medrash Kahal Yireim.

After davening, several talmidim of the yeshiva presented to the Rebbe shlit"a answers to the question that the Rebbe had left over. The Rebbe reviewed the answers and derived great nachas.

Afterwards, dozens of guests, old and young, went over to greet the Rebbe, having come to be in the holy presence and to spend the uplifting Shabbos in New Hampshire.

On the way home a conversation took place about the expansion of the boundaries of kedusha in the new areas in Williamsburg. They also discussed communal prayer and learning on Erev Tisha B'Av.
