Wednesday, Parshas Shoftim, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the hall of the mesivta "Sniff Divrei Yoel." Before davening, the Rebbe shlit"a put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Chaim Hersh Oberlander.
The bochur Meir Mendel Brach.
The bochur Yoel Wertheimer.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of his grandmother, the Volova Rebbetzin a"h.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a learned the daily shiur, chapter 5, verse 13.

Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim.

In the morning, the Rebbe shlit"a tested in his holy home, on "Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, volume 1," several outstanding bochurim of our yeshiva "Mesivta HaKedosha," namely:
The outstanding bochur Tzadok, son of Rabbi Yechezkel Heilbrun.
The outstanding bochur Nesanel, son of Yekusiel Zusha Weiss.
The outstanding bochur Yechiel Michel, son of Yoel Katz.
The outstanding bochur Shlomo Zalman, son of Rabbi Michel Treger.

In the afternoon at around 2:40, the Rebbe shlit"a participated in the levaya of the bochur Aharon a"h, son of HaRav R' Mendel Friedman, a talmid of our holy mosdos in Kiryas Joel, who was killed in a terrible accident, r"l. The Rebbe shlit"a participated in the levaya in front of the building of the Yeshiva Ketana "Sniff Yitev Panim," and then accompanied the bier for several minutes.

May we hear no more of destruction and brokenness within our borders, and may we hear and be told good tidings.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
Rabbi Nosson Dov Schwartz shlit"a - Rabbi Naftali Hirtzka Friedman shlit"a, at Kinor David hall.
R' Yaakov Yitzchak Stahl - R' Eizik Meir Berger, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.

At around 8:20, as already reported, the Gur Rebbe shlit"a paid a visit to the Rebbe shlit"a in his home. He is staying in New York these days for the wedding of a grandson. The Rebbe inquired about his welfare and they spoke about the situation in Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe shlit"a also asked about the wedding of his grandson in New York. A pleasant conversation then developed about the Sfas Emes and other tzaddikim of the house of Gur. The Rebbe shlit"a honored him with a lechayim, gave him his holy blessings, and accompanied him out to the street.

Later that night, the Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the home of his father-in-law, the Rebbe zy"a, at the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Pinchas Frankel - R' Shmuel Hersh Feldman.
