Great simcha among the chassidim:
The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a proclaims the opening of a new yeshiva named "Yeshivas Esek HaTorah," especially for bochurim whose souls yearn to engage in Torah

The yeshiva will be suited for bochurim who have already completed the yeshiva gedolah years. The yeshiva will be founded on "three higher years" beyond that. Distinguished, outstanding talmidei chachamim and teachers of Torah will stand at the head of the yeshiva. It will be located outside the city, far from the yeshivos of the big cities. The Rebbe shlit"a has named the yeshiva Yeshivas Esek HaTorah.

The Jewish community is welcoming with joy the decision of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, who has resolved to open a fresh "place of Torah" for chassidic bochurim who excel in Torah and fear of Heaven, who have already finished the first three years of yeshiva gedolah, Shiur Alef, Shiur Bais, Shiur Gimmel (Tzeirim, Shiur Alef, Shiur Bais), and who wish to continue sitting in the tent of Torah with expansiveness of mind in the coming years.

The yeshiva "Esek HaTorah" will be led by distinguished talmidei chachamim and teachers of Torah, who will disseminate their Torah to the esteemed talmidim, may they live long. It will be located in a spacious place far from the yeshivos of the big cities, outside the city, designed so that one can sit in the tent of Torah with expansiveness of mind.
The opening of this yeshiva is truly something the Rebbe shlit"a has desired for several years, because the difficult situation in the yeshiva world today weighs on his pure heart. There is a very serious shortage for our own bochurim who have already finished the general yeshiva gedolah years and are scattered among various chassidic yeshivos throughout Greater New York. As is known, most chassidic yeshivos, when the age of Shiur Bais and Gimmel arrives, close their doors, and this forces many of our bochurim to take up the wanderer's staff and seek a suitable place of Torah. As a result, very many of our bochurim are forced to travel to Eretz Yisroel to learn. As is known, this is a tremendous danger, that one might, Heaven forbid, lose everything acquired in the younger years. But on the other hand, very many are forced to do so, because of the great problem that there is no proper, serious framework where one can learn with expansiveness of mind.
