Sunday, Parshas Nitzavim, First Selichos in the Holy Presence of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Motzei Shabbos, "Kidamnuch Techilah" Sunday morning at 5:18 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for the recital of Selichos in our great beis medrash in Kiryas Joel, where the huge beis medrash was filled to capacity with no space left, all the side rooms, Polish hallways and passageways too, with many thousands of Yidden who came to say the first Selichos in the holy presence.

The Rebbe shlit"a descended before the amud with awe-inspiring weeping, wrapped in the tallis and wearing the kapel of the Divrei Yoel zy"a, brought by R' Moshe Falkowitz, and led the Selichos from the Divrei Yoel zy"a, brought by R' Shlomo Zalman Stein. It concluded at around 6:20.

After Selichos, HaGaon Rabbi Av Beis Din and Rosh Yeshiva of our kehilla in Manchester shlit"a bid farewell; he had stayed for Shabbos and the first Selichos in the holy presence.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in our great beis medrash in Kiryas Joel. Before davening the Rebbe shlit"a put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Mattisyahu Irgas.
The bochur Mordechai Landau.
The bochur Avrohom Yosha Gloiber.

After davening the Rebbe shlit"a visited the mehudar slaughterhouse.

In the evening, there were times for entering the holy chamber from 5:30 until 10:30.

After Maariv, HaGaon Rabbi Mendel Wertzberger shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of our holy kehilla in Montreal, came to the Rebbe shlit"a to receive his holy blessings on the occasion of the wedding of his son, the chosson, mazel tov, which took place last week, and the Rebbe shlit"a warmly wished him well.
