An unbelievable sight unfolded starting from 8:00 in the evening, when old and young, of all ages and levels, for the entire congregation is holy, all the residents of the city and the surrounding areas, with holy emotion, filled the great hall to overflowing, and after a short while there was no place left to sit, and the askanim worked to make room for the public.
The assembly was opened by HaGaon Rabbi Simcha Shalom Steinberger shlit"a, Rav of Beis Medrash Divrei Chaim, one of the choicest students of the Divrei Yoel zt"l, who with his pleasant words addressed the critical importance of tonight's gathering, which concerns every single individual, for his benefit and the benefit of his descendants forever, especially emphasizing the unbending force of the "Takanos HaIr," which was something self-evident in all generations, in all the cities and towns of Europe, that one does not play around with this, and it is kept with absolute obligation.

A holy trembling seized the multitudes when the Rebbe shlit"a delivered the message to the city, boiling for a long time with holy fire, and the Torah burned within him with the voice of Hashem in power, regarding the holiness of the city of Kiryas Joel until today, which continues through the power and holiness of the Uncle zy"a, who founded the city and rooted within it the holy foundations and directives, which he wanted and which was the aspiration of his pure soul, that the city should bear such a character.
