Friday, Parshas Terumah, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in our beis medrash Avnei Tzedek in Kiryas Joel on the occasion of the simcha of the pidyon haben of his grandson, the son of Rabbi Meshulam Zusha Rosenbaum shlit"a, son-in-law of the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.
The Rebbe shlit"a put on tallis and tefillin in the beis medrash. After davening, the seudas pidyon haben took place in the hall of the beis medrash. The Rebbe shlit"a washed for the seudah and cut the challah without a knife, as is customary on Erev Shabbos.

Rabbi Aharon Aryeh Katz shlit"a, son-in-law of HaGaon Rabbi Meir Itamar Rosenbaum shlit"a of Trebisov, served as the Kohen receiving the pidyon. After the fish course, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and blessed the baal simcha, the grandfathers, and the entire community.

During the seudah, words of Torah were delivered by the father of the baby, Rabbi Meshulam Zusha shlit"a, the grandfather, the Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a, and the elder grandfather, HaGaon the Av Beis Din of Uhel shlit"a.

After the meat course, the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words on the topic of pidyon haben. For Birkas Hamazon, the Rebbe honored the Kohen, Rabbi Aharon Aryeh Katz shlit"a. It concluded around 12:45.
