Thursday, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At about 9:45 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the Yeshiva Ketana of Manchester, where the Rebbe davened Shacharis together with the nearly one hundred bochurim of the yeshiva, with the participation of HaGaon Rabbi, Av Beis Din and Rav of Manchester shlit"a. During the Torah reading the Rebbe was called up for shlishi and bentched Gomel. After Kaddish, all the guests from overseas went over to bentch Gomel.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the yeshiva's hall. Also participating was HaRav R' Yisroel Friedman shlit"a, Rav of the Chortkov beis medrash, who is the host of Torah of the yeshiva. Several niggunim were sung. Then the yeshiva's menahel, HaRav R' Yoel Kellner shlit"a, spoke and presented the Rebbe with a "minchas bikkurim" of 4,106 consecutive hours learned by the bochurim in recent weeks, and handed over a collective kvitel with all their names.

The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished holy blessings to the Rav shlit"a, the melamdim and all the bochurim. He then delivered holy words, first a lengthy discourse on the sugya of chatzi shiur, and then spoke words of guidance to the bochurim, especially about the importance of the bochur years: learning with diligence and with the mind, what it means to be a proper chassidishe bochur, rising early to learn before davening, being guarded from impure devices, the trait of kindness, and not speaking while wearing tefillin. He expressed his great nachas from the precious gift of the consecutive hours of the bochurim, mentioned the good name that the yeshiva carries, and then greeted the Av Beis Din of Chortkov, the host of the yeshiva, and concluded with his holy blessings.
After the address, the Rebbe shlit"a distributed holy coins to all the bochurim. It ended at about 1:20.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a went to visit the Talmud Torah building. First the Rebbe went up through all the floors and entered all the classrooms of all grades. The Rebbe took great nachas and listened to the children. Then the Rebbe entered the beis medrash, where the children of grades 7 and 8 were gathered. Several niggunim were sung, and the Rebbe distributed certificates to the children who had been tested on their studies.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a went to the neighboring Talmud Torah building, "Beis Yeshaya Zev Low." First the Rebbe entered the kindergarten classes, where the little children sang niggunim. Then the Rebbe went up to the beis medrash of the mechina for yeshiva, where all the classes were gathered. The Rebbe looked in on the learning with nachas and listened to the children. It ended at about 2:05.

Later the Rebbe shlit"a will visit the new yeshiva building and Beis Rochel.

At 5:30 the Rebbe shlit"a will daven Mincha, and from 9:00 in the evening there will be times of entry to the Rebbe's holy room for the Satmar chassidim of Europe.
