Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Behar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

On Friday night at around 8:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos was led by R' Shmuel HaKohen Friedman, and after Maariv the Rebbe went to count Sefirah.

Davening concluded at around 10:15. The crowd went over to wish a "gut Shabbos," and the Rebbe shlit"a went into his private room.

A short time after davening, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shabbos table in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidei hamesivta, and began, as is his custom, "Shalom Aleichem" with feeling and sweetness.

Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Meir Eliezer Teitelbaum, son of HaGaon Rabbi Teitelbaum, Rav of the beis medrash Berach Moshe shlit"a. Lifting the cup for Kiddush: R' Moshe Rozenai (Beit Shemesh).

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe shlit"a entered at 9:35. Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Yisroel Spitzer. The Rebbe shlit"a then approached the amud for Shacharis.

At the afternoon tish in his holy home, the talmidim of the Yeshiva Gedolah 'Esek HaTorah,' Monsey branch, merited to eat with the Rebbe. During the seudah the Rebbe related stories of tzaddikim, and the bochurim asked questions on hashkafa and minhagim, which the Rebbe answered and explained at length with clarity and depth.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored the singers to lead the zemiros. The special song from Pesach until Shavuos was given to his grandson, the bochur Yoel, son of HaGaon Rabbi Teitelbaum, Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a. Birkas Hamazon: the bochur Hershel Ungar, son of HaGaon Rabbi Elazar shlit"a, of the talmidei hayeshiva. The tish concluded at around 3:00.

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 8:40. Mincha: R' Yaakov Shlomo Mittelman. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Yoel Berish Weiss (Bnei Brak). Kohen: R' Yosef Leib Sander (Williamsburg); Levi: R' Moshe Meir Gottlieb; Shlishi: the Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Rokeach shlit"a, son-in-law of HaGaon Rabbi Teitelbaum, Rav of the beis medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: HaGaon Rabbi Elazar Mendel Filaf shlit"a (Williamsburg).

In the Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a spoke on the verse "When you come to the land, the land shall rest, a Shabbos to Hashem," and explained that Jewish children are already considered as if they fulfilled the mitzvah of shemittah upon entering Eretz Yisroel, because of their longing to fulfill the mitzvah. Likewise in our times, in exile, when one longs to fulfill the mitzvos that depend on the Land, Hashem joins a good thought to the deed, and the promise "and I will command My blessing" is fulfilled: a blessing comes into every home, and it brings the Geulah closer.

Maariv on Motzei Shabbos: R' Avrohom Wieder. After Maariv the Rebbe went to count Sefirah. After Havdalah everyone went over to wish a "gutte voch." It concluded at around 11:05.

On Motzei Shabbos the Rebbe shlit"a delivered words of chizuk and guidance by telephone hookup, at the Melaveh Malkah of the historic Shabbos Malkasa for the widows of our holy kehilla.
