Wednesday, Parshas Ki Savo — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in Beis Medrash Eitz Chaim Sighet in Williamsburg. The Rebbe put on Rabbeinu Tam's tefillin in the beis medrash, and after davening blew shofar.

In the afternoon hours the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Boro Park for reception hours in advance of the days of mercy and favor.

Upon arriving in Boro Park, the Rebbe went to the home of the distinguished R' Menashe HaLevi Horowitz, where a ceremony of filling in the letters took place for a Sefer Torah that will be brought on Friday afternoon to Beis Medrash Rizhin in Boro Park. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a went to pay a shiva call to the family of the late R' Zalman Leib Rosenfeld a"h.

In the afternoon at around 6:40 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at our great beis medrash, where reception hours were held in the inner sanctum. At the same time, the annual gathering for the benefit of the Rebbe's fund, Avnei Chesed, took place, at which the esteemed donors had the privilege of entering the inner sanctum to give their donations.

Around 7:50 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the sanctuary of the beis medrash.

Among the hundreds of members of the Boro Park community who entered the inner sanctum to be remembered for salvation and mercy were the rabbonim and dayanim of our kehilla and dozens of rabbonim of the city, roshei yeshiva, and prominent members of the community. Among them: the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park shlit"a; the Sederhely Rebbe shlit"a; the Papa Rebbe of Boro Park shlit"a; the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Brezdovitz shlit"a, together with his son, the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Radovitz shlit"a; HaRav R' Yosef Meyer shlit"a, Rosh Yeshiva of Maor HaTorah; and others.
Pleasant conversations took place, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings.

Likewise, a ceremony of filling in the letters took place for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Shmuel Yonah Schlesinger, where the Rebbe wrote in the letters and bestowed his holy blessings.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv at around 12:50 in the sanctuary of the beis medrash, and afterwards continued receiving the public until around 1:30, when the Rebbe departed for his holy home in Kiryas Joel.
